Winter Beijing

I want to capture and document of the smell of the air in the winter of Beijing in this painting because it is just so special yet so familiar. Being away from home since 18 years old, the time I spend in Beijing, my hometown has been decreased into 1 month a year, which isn't that bad. I went back to Beijing last year for the winter break, which was the first time going back home for winter in 6 years, but the air still smells the same as when I was 5. It's a smell of home, and specifically Beijing. I want to use my sense to document this feeling of Beijing, so I paint down the things I experienced - the sky, the tree, the narrowed road, the floor.... I mixed them together in this painting - the nature and the artificial - to create this mixed harmony of the air.
